Tangerang, October 17, 2025 — The Founder of Imago Raw Honey, Henry Bin Uyu Hidayat, took part as a speaker in a seminar titled “Indonesia’s Business Potential in Member Countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)”. The seminar was organized by the Directorate General of National Export Development (Ditjen PPI), Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, as part of the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025 series.
During his presentation, Henry shared Imago Raw Honey’s experience in exporting premium artisan honey to several international markets, including the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. He explained that the brand deliberately targets the mid-to-high-end segment, where consumers tend to value product quality, authenticity, and halal assurance more than price alone.
“We focus on the premium segment because people there care about quality and the story behind a product, not just how much it costs,” Henry said.
He also highlighted that the halal lifestyle has grown into a global trend, extending well beyond OIC countries. Indonesia’s strong reputation as a producer of halal products, he noted, has become a real competitive advantage in entering international markets, particularly within the halal tourism sector.
This is reflected in Imago Raw Honey’s success in being adopted by major hotel chains in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of their support for halal tourism initiatives.
“One of Indonesia’s biggest strengths is how it’s known for its halal ecosystem. That’s what helps our products earn trust and find acceptance in international markets,” Henry added.
Imago Raw Honey’s presence at the seminar was also welcomed by the organizers. A representative from Ditjen PPI emphasized that Imago Raw Honey’s journey illustrates the tangible potential of Indonesian halal products in OIC markets.
“The Imago Raw Honey story shows that Indonesian SMEs with strong halal values and high product quality have real opportunities to compete globally,” said a representative from Ditjen PPI, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.
This participation further reinforces Imago Raw Honey’s commitment to bringing Indonesian artisan honey to the global market, while supporting national export growth through innovation, quality, and the halal values rooted in the archipelago.
